Cooking Tagine - Large

A tagine is a Maghrebi dish which is named after the earthenware pot in which it is cooked. Tagine is traditionally cooked over in hot charcoal, however in modern times it can also be cooked in a slow oven or on a gas or electric stove top, on the lowest heat necessary to keep the stew simmering gently. Cooking in tagine gives a more flavorful finish to the dish in comparison to cooking in a slow cooker. Many ceramic tagines are decorative items as well as functional cooking vessels.

The Tajine comes in either a triangle top or round top.
